Summer 2008The 15 Minute Hamlet by Tom Stoppard followed by Fortinbras by Lee Blessing. These shows will be directed by SerahRose Roth and will take place in Greeley Park, Nashua as part of Nashua's SummerFUN! 2008. Fall 2008LEND ME A TENOR! A farce by Ken Ludwig Directed by Larry Pizza and Kim Cassetta Nominated for seven 1989 Tony Awards and six Drama Desk Awards, this delightful farce follows the trials and tribulations of Henry Saunders, a hapless Cleveland opera impresario trying to ensure the old theater ethic, “the show must go on.” Through a variety of errors, a visiting opera star, Tito Merelli (aka “Il Stupendo”) is thought to be dead, and a fledging opera singer, Max, is unwillingly thrust into the limelight. Confusion reigns when Maggie, Max’s fiancée, an opera society matron, Julia, and the designing local operatic hopeful, Diana, all throw themselves at both the real and the imitation Il Stupendo while trying to stay clear of Tito’s jealous wife, Maria. Winter 2009HAVE A NICE DAY ! The '70s Musical Flashback conceived, written and arranged by Rick Lewis Directed by William McGregor HAVE A NICE DAY! is a not too subtle spoof of "Up with People," the incredibly conservative youth organization that swept across high school and college campuses during the 60's and 70's. Kitt, Lori Ann, Ronda, Holly and Brian are on the final farewell performance of HAVE A NICE DAY, having spent the better part of the last five years "helping America smile!" Performing songs from 1968 through 1974 (the Nixon years...) the group brings life to a lot of songs we thought we forgot! HAVE A NICE DAY! is a musical piece of psychedelic bubblegum! Spring 2009The Elephant Man By Bernard Pomerance Directed By Michael Curtiss Winner of every major award for drama, this enthralling, ravishingly theatrical play chronicles the life of John Merrick, the deformed 19th century carnival attraction who became an urbane and clever favorite of Victorian society. His dream of recognition as a man like any other propels a quest for acceptance and equality that touches the heart of the human experience.
